ZALA 421-04L increases endurance by 60%

On Tuesday 1st June, 2010 ZALA AERO concluded the testing of its newly modified ZALA 421-04M, the new modification is based on larger power source and wing modification that has increased the endurance of the UAV to 3 hours and 30 minutes from two hours. Tests were conducted in Izhevsk with participation of proposed customers, out of the four flights the shortest flight endurance equalled 3hrs and 46 minutes. Each UAV was tested to it maximum functional ability reaching altitude of 3500 meters and data link range of 45km.
Modified version is now available as ZALA 421-04L, this modification increases the endurance to that of a much larger UAVs while still offering the easy mobility, operation and results as before. The modified version is already in line to be used for the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi and border patrol. The system came out of R&D for the energy sector customers that required a mobile UAS with endurance of 3-4 hours.
ZALA AERO has already started development of future modifications and is looking to bringing out a modified version of ZALA 421-04L that reaches the 5-6 hours endurance by the middle of 2011.
