ZALA AERO GROUP LAUNCHES MOBILE OFF-ROAD GROUND CONTROL STATIONS



ZALA AERO has unveiled its latest development in the GCS mobility. Mobile off-road car based ground control stations carry equipment and UAV controlling hardware, transporting operating staff to the mission area. Implementing up-to-date technologic solutions in facility configuration and autonomous life support systems, sound and light features, avionics flight displays, navigation devices (including self-regulating two axis tracking system), full automation provide comfort and efficient workspace.
ZALA AERO is able to configure any type of GCS configuration, depending on the tasks required to be resolved. The type of UAS also determines the type of the station. One of the unique solutions are based on sea container and truck UAV GCS that provide unsupported intelligence, surveillance and recognition missions with survival period for up to six months. Container can be exploited separately from the truck, or be mounted to the trailer. It is suitable for air and sea transportation. Standard configuration includes operators’ unit, life support chamber, climate control, UAVs’ and launch platforms’ storage bay, complex radio antennas, displays and satellite communication. Modular container based GCS has been specifically designed to provide customers with an option of having a transportable GCS that can work autonomously for up to six months without any  need for re-supplying, a requirement that customers have highlighted - UAS to work for indefinite period of time. ZALA GCS is based on a standard shipping container dimensions that makes the GCS easily transportable by sea, air or land.                            .                                                                  .    

Container layout has been arranged to provide separate living and working space for three individuals with supply of water, food, energy and air conditioning. The work space arrangement has been designed to be multifunctional to utilise all ZALA AERO UAV systems including the new ZALA 421-16 and ZALA 421-16E. Equipment for maintaining and serving ZALA UAVs is also integrated as standard which is essential for running long-term operations.

Storage space has been built and measured to fit all varieties of ZALA AERO UAS including all the necessary equipment for launching and recovering UAVs. Standard utilisation container can hold up to twenty fixed wing UAVs or eight VTOL UAVs in variety of sizes. Modular GCS also includes as standard; equipment to provide wide range communication channels (which allows the container to be based onboard a vessel and fully function), jamming equipment, internet, a twelve and a eighteen meter masts equipped with signal tracking antennas, charging equipment, two fixed GCS computers, one mobile GCS.                                                                                .                

Each container will be modified to required specification including thickness of shell that can be increased to meet military standards.
