|
ZALA AERO today unveils the latest vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAV ZALA 421-02X. ZALA 421-02X is the upgrade of ZALA 421-02. Both platforms offer similar specifications, however ZALA 421-02X has been developed to require less servicing. The new system has been developed specifically for maritime and harsh land environments. The system, as standard, can be utilised for multidimensional reconnaissance, whilst other payloads are offered for bespoke specific requirements, including radar.
The range of both UAVs is 50 km, a flight-time of 1.5 hrs plus, and payload capacity of 30 kg. The cruising speed of 65km/h and altitude ceiling of 3000 meters make the platform indispensible in both civil and military applications. Recent operational tests concluded by the platform include synthetic radar reconnaissance at an altitude of 2500 meters; telecommunication and electrical wire inspection; and target reconnaissance with laser designating. Close hovering ability allow the platform to be used in all situations including monitoring forest fires, police operations and many more.
ZALA 421-02X is currently the most reliable VTOL UAV available on the Russian market. Future tests are planned to analyse UAV capability in monitoring chemical and radioactive materials.
