Putin Visits Izhevsk

On the 25th May, Prime Minimiser Vladimir Putin visited Izhevsk to analyse the current developments in the high-end technology. His awareness of UAV technology led him to visit the current manufacturing and development facilities that have recently been completed. During the visit Prime Minister saw the current available UAV systems and future R&D projects that as he highlighted himself will provide Russia and its allies with the latest technology for years to come.

One of the main topics of discussion was the anti-terrorist aspect that UAVs are currently being used for and the results that have come to save lives and stop terrorist groups from attacking Russian citizens. Civil sector use of UAVs was also discussed with government agencies such as fishery protection agency and forestry agency being the main driving force for implementing the latest UAV technology with results to support their determined drive.

PM concluded that the future requirement of Russian built UAVs is set increase exponentially during the next decade and that during his visit the technology that is available and the technology being developed shows great promise for Russian UAVs which should be operational during the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 to provide security and surveillance during the event.
